Donald P. Ren, 70, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a brief illness.A son of Esther (Dillon) Ren and the late Anthony Ren, Don was born November 3, 1935 in Roswell, Ohio.He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Dennison. Don worked at Miracle Adhesive where he retired in 1997 as plant manager.Don was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. He was an avid golfer and he enjoyed playing with his senior golf buddies. Don also loved to follow his grandchildren as they competed in their sporting events.He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Eileen (Dapoz) Ren; son Robert (Judith) Ren; daughter, Debra (James) Carlisle; grandchildren, Kyle and Rachel Ren and Ben and Courtney Carlisle; brother, Jack (Darlene) Ren; brother-in-law, Jack (Martha) Dapoz and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2006 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with a Christian Wake service being held a 4:45p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 139 Third Street NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 or a charity of ones choice
