Donald Michaels

Donald O. Michaels, 82, of Stone Creek, passed away January 17, 2019.

Don was born in Akron, Ohio and served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Washington Steel in Massillon. He loved playing cards, golf, hunting, fishing and gardening but his biggest joy was his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife Linda of 55 years; son Cary and grandchildren, Chandler, Samantha and Michael; brothers, Robert, Roger, Raymond, Thomas; sisters, Dorothy, Patricia, Diana and Janet, and many nieces and nephews.

Donald is preceded in death by his son, Gregory; parents, Joseph and Greta; brothers, James, Michael, Charles; sister, Rebecca.

Cremation will take place through the care of the Geib Funeral Center in Dover, Ohio. A memorial service for Donald will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Pastor Dwight Mason officiating. The family will greet guests following the service in the Hospitality Room at the funeral home during a meal and time of fellowship.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Don’s memory to any local Salvation Army or to any local V.F.W. Post.
