DONALD L. BREEHL, 77, passed away in his sleep at his New Philadelphia home Monday morning, April 28, 2003. Don was born in New Philadelphia on February 6, 1926 to the late Harry and Frances Crescio Breehl. In 1947 he sold his grocery near the corner of Second Street, NE and East High Avenue and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan. There he worked as a quality control inspector for Argus cameras and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. After the company was closed, Don operated his own amusement rides business and later retired from Dapco Industries in Dexter, MI. He returned to New Philadelphia in 1990 to be nearer his family. His wife, Sally, preceded him in death in 1992. He is survived by eight nephews, five great-nephews, three great-great nephews; four nieces, seven great-nieces and 1 great-great niece. In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by two sisters, Vanetta Breehl and Agnes King as well as his brother, Eugene Breehl. There will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating.It has been suggested that contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas Valley, 201 W. Third St., Dover, OH 44622.
