Donald Eugene Meister

Donald Eugene Meister, 76, of LaGrange, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family.

Don was born October 27, 1945 in Tipton, Indiana to the late Frank Meister and Mary Grace Smith Meister.

After high school, he attended Tristate College in Angola, Indiana where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree.  Don held several positions with Chevrolet, Gradall, Baker Liftruck, Duplex and eventually retiring from Trackmobile in LaGrange, Georgia.  His career at Trackmobile started in 1989 and finished in 2012.  He was responsible and directed many innovations that modernized the product.  Don and Rose also owned and operated a car repair service before their move to LaGrange.  While living in LaGrange they both enjoyed remodeling houses which they rented and sold.

Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rose Yosick Meister; children, James (Brenda) Swinderman of Canton, Ohio, Kelly (Josh) Conley of Salem, Ohio, Teresa (Chris) Byers of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Mark (Angela) Meister of Atlanta, Indiana, and Andrew (Deanne) Meister of Canton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and twin great-great granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Meister and sister, Jean Meister both of Tipton, Indiana.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory 116 2nd Street NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
