Donald E. Lawver

Donald E. Lawver, 85, of Sugarcreek and formerly of Dover and Canton, died Monday, October 20, 2003 at Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.Don was born in Dover, a son of the late Jesse E. and Katherine Alleshouse Lawver. He was a 1936 graduate of Dover High School.He retired as a quality control inspector for The Timken Company in Canton after 30 years service. When not working, Don liked to fish and was also an avid reader.He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Virginia Kaiser of New Philadelphia, several nieces and a nephew as well as many good friends who will miss him. Besides his parents, a brother, Larry Lawver of Texas, preceded Don in death.Following Don’s prior wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place at Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory in New Philadelphia.Contributions honoring Don’s life may be made to The Salvation Army, P. O. Box 357, Dover, OH 44622.
