Diane Kay Sayre, age 44, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Thursday, August 17, 2006 in her residence following a lengthy illness. Born at Dover, July 22, 1962, Diane was a daughter of Paul Newton of Bolivar, and the late Norma Kimble White. She was a 1980 graduate of Dover High School. Diane was a familiar face to visitors at the former Elby’s restaurant where she once worked as a waitress. She had also worked as a bookkeeper at Randy Sayre Tire and Muffler. Together with her former husband, Randy Sayre of Zoar, Diane reared two daughters, Randi Kay Sayre of New Philadelphia, and Alisa Kay Sayre of Zoar. Her family also includes three sisters, Linda and husband Gary Sampsel of Dover, Kathy Fishel of Dover, and Paula and husband Jimmy Metcalf of Stonecreek, her longtime friend, Brian Beal of New Philadelphia, her step-father Walter White of Dover, and step-mother Trudy Newton of Bolivar. Two cats, Chloe` and Joey complete the family. Friends are invited to call Monday from 2PM Â? 4PM and from 6PM Â? 8PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Mark Trotter will lead funeral services Tuesday morning at 10:30. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal service, family and friends will gather for a reception in the Hospitality Suite at the Geib Funeral Center.
