Denver Dwight McConnell, age 86, of Dover, died peacefully, Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover, following a period of declining health.
A son of the late Fremont and Della Tidrick, Denver was born at Tippecanoe, Ohio on July 29, 1926.
He was employed by the former Superior Brand Meats at Massillon for a number of years and also worked for Nickles Bakery and Ragersville Cheese. In his freetime, Denver enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
Denver is survived by two sons, Leslie (Mary Robin) McConnell of Dover, and Lewis McConnell of Stone Creek; a brother, Roy McConnell of Marysville; a granddaughter, Beth Ann (Tim) Masters of New Philadelphia; a great-grandson, Roger Masters and his former daughter-in-law, Becky McConnell of Navarre as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Carl and Paul McConnell and a sister, Alice Little.
In keeping with Denver’s wishes, private services will be held. Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover is handling cremation care.
