Dennis Evan Wire, 72, of Dover and formerly of Uhrichsville, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Hennis Care & Retirement Centre at Dover following a period of declining health.

Denny was a member the Church of Christ at New Philadelphia where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer.  He enjoyed completing puzzles and watching classic films such as John Wayne and black and white movies.  Following his retirement, Denny became fond of gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Wire; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Susan Wire of Gallatin, Tennessee; his daughter, Amy Wire of Antioch, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Mallory Wire of Gallatin, Tennessee; two brothers, Larry (Rose Marie) Wire of Boardman, Ohio and Rick (Janet) Wire of Russell, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Rosemary) Carson of Dunlap, Tennessee and Bill (Pam) Carson of Franklin, Tennessee; four nephews; three nieces and special friends, Joe and Heather Erb of Gnadenhutten and their children, Lynnsey, Logan and Chloe Erb as well as a special friend, Eric Sachs of Bolivar.
