Dennis Kohlstedt

Dennis, fondly known as Den was born to Bill and Janice Kohlstedt on May 29, 1973 in La Grange, Illinois. He passed peacefully on October 2, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He fought a heroic 3-year battle with cancer. He was 51.

Dennis held many titles in his life, husband, son, brother, friend, from artist to entrepreneur, but his favorite role was being a Dad. He loved nothing more than spending all his spare time with his family. Dennis and his wife Tracy were together for 29 years. His family was his greatest pleasure and most precious possession. They were his favorite hobby and he took great care of them by treasuring them and being an outstanding husband, father, and provider.

Dennis was an artist and his designs can be seen through-out Florida whether it was marble, stone, tile, or wood, it was creative and beautiful. His work ethic was like no other and he built a business for 30 years with a reputation beyond which no one could touch. His creative designs, perfectionism and helpfulness made him a special friend loved by old and young. As he lived a successful, blessed, and unselfish life, he was always satisfied and humbled. He said he had no regrets and felt humble that God gave him all these great treasures for all long as he was on earth.

Dennis’s loving spirit is carried on by his wife, Tracy; and children, Khloe and Cooper, his designs, our memories and hearts He will be greatly missed, but knowing he is with God brings us an immense amount of comfort. He is survived by his spouse Tracy Gross-Kohlstedt; daughter, Khloe Kohlstedt; son, Cooper Kohlstedt; his parents Bill and Janice Kohlstedt; his brothers Steve Kohlstedt, Chris (Ashley) Kohlstedt, and Doug (Susan) Kohlstedt; his sister Mandy (John) Patterson; 15 beautiful nieces and nephews; and 6 great nephews.
