Deloris Marie Biechler Kinsey, age 83, of New Philadelphia, passed away early Thursday morning, July 15, 2010.Born in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin on February 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward George and Lillian Adele (Duquaine) Carmody. After graduating from Gilbralter High School, she married her late husband, Donald W. Biechler. During World War II, it is noteworthy that Deloris worked as a welder in the shipyards in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.Deloris enjoyed her time as a homemaker raising her four children until the untimely death of Donald. Then, she returned to school and entered the workforce as a bookkeeper. She was employed at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover, later working at and retiring from Goodwill Industries. In October of 1980, Deloris married her second husband, Allen Kinsey, who preceded her in death on May 31, 1985.Her church memberships began at the former St. Aloysius Catholic Church, then at St. Patrick’s Church in Mineral City, and currently was a member at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia.In addition to her church membership, she was active as a Foster Grandparent at Indian Valley and Claymont. She also was a member of the former Parents Without Partners group, and greatly enjoyed traveling both nationally and internationally. Deloris will be deeply missed by her three surviving children, Donald Biechler of Canton, Darrel (companion, Dayna Euhus) Biechler of New Philadelphia, and Debra Ittikraichareon of Westerville; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Biechler of New Philadelphia; her step-daughter, Lois Kinsey of Richmond, Virginia; her sisters, Arlene Giljohan of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Joyce Buss of Shawano, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Marcie (Eric) Kendall, Tara (David) Korosi, Tammy (Brian) Gawlak, Katie Biechler, Kelly Biechler, Sarah Biechler, Jason Biechler, Dawn Biechler, Amy Ittikraichareon, Melanie Jennings, Matthew Kimble and Daniel Kimble; and 14 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and two husbands, Deloris was preceded in death by her brother, Dick Carmody; her sister, Buelah Carmody; and her son, Daniel Biechler.Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Sunday, July 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service commencing at 6:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jeff Coning in Sacred Heart Church on Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
