Delores Zurcher

Delores Jane Zurcher, 95, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Hennis Care Center in Dover.

A daughter of the late Clarence M. and Susie L (Stonebrook) Jackson, Delores was born November 10, 1920 in New Philadelphia.

On July 16, 1940, Delores married her late husband, Wilbert “Dom” Edgar Zurcher who preceded her in death in 2005. Delores loved to knit, crochet, and bowl.

Delores is survived by her two sons, Jerry Zurcher of Dover and Earl Dean (Suzy) Zurcher of Parkersburg, West Virginia; grandchildren, Kenny (Larinda) Zurcher of Belpre, O. and Deana (Jeff) Burkey of Parkersburg, West Virginia; great-grandchildren, Zayla Paige (Zachary) Salyers of San Clemente, California and Brianna Zurcher of Paris, Illinois; and one great-great-grandchild, Isaiah Zayd Salyers of San Clemente, California and one great-great-granddaughter anticipated in January.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dom; her siblings, Earl Jackson, Florence McMann, Emmett Jackson, Virginia Crawshaw, and Kenny Jackson; and her daughter-in-law, Charlene Zurcher.

A service will be held Thursday in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
