Delmer Dean Miller, 68, of Uhrichsville, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at his residence with his family by his side.A son of the late Chester A. Miller Sr. and Gladys P. Abbott Miller, Delmer was born on July 22, 1938, in Alliance, Ohio. Delmer was a 1957 graduate of San Fernando High School in San Fernando, California. From 1961 until 1963, Delmer served in the United States Army and then from 1963 until 1965 he was enlisted with the National Guard. In 1986, Delmer retired from Shenango Steel.In addition to his parents, Delmer was preceded in death by sister, Louise Espenschied; brothers, Chester A. Miller, Jr. and Cecil Nicholson.He is survived by his wife, Glenna Miller nee Lute, whom he married November 9, 1974, in Tippecanoe, Ohio; children, Dean (Donna) Miller of Dover, Cherylee Silvius of Dundee, Vickie Stubblefield of New Philadelphia, Dena (Bubba) Parrish of Dennison; grandchildren, Anthony Miller of Dennison, Megan Miller of Dover, Jennifer (Nathan) Sica of Dover, Tayler Silvius of Dundee, Amber Silvius of New Philadelphia; great-grandson, Cameron Sica; many nieces and nephews; and sister, Julia Stevens of Uhrichsville, Ohio.Friends are invited to call Thursday, April 19, 2007, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.Rev. Brian Flood will lead the funeral service on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. A reception will be given for family and friends immediately following the service.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
