Della Myers

Della M. Myers, 84, of Mineral City, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a sudden illness.

Born in Perrysville, O., she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Leta (Snider) Cogan.

After graduating from high school, Della married her late husband, David Myers, and together they raised 5 children. In her early years, Della worked for Scio Pottery and the Atwood Lodge. However, the majority of her lifetime was spent caring for her family

Della greatly enjoyed working puzzles, reading, and gardening.

She will be deeply missed by her family including her children, Della (Mark) Sharp of New Philadelphia, Jim Myers of Michigan, Patty (Bob) Maurer of Mineral City, and Mary Lou (companion, John Ramser) Bullard of New Philadelphia; her 10 grandchildren; and her 19 great-grandchildren. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of two great-grandchildren also.

Della was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Myers who passed away in 1997; her son, David Myers who passed away in 1990; her son-in-law, Louie Leatherman; her 2 sisters; her 3 brothers; and her grandson-in-law, Mike Buckey.

In keeping with Della’s wishes, cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A private, family graveside service in Sherrodsville Memory Garden will be held at a later date.
