Deka Sullivan

Deka Lynn Sullivan, 47, of Dundee, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Born December 28, 1967 in Union Hospital at Dover, Ohio, she was the daughter of Donald “Sully” Sullivan and the late Laura Ann (Groah) Sullivan.

Deka graduated from Indian Valley North High School in 1986 and was currently employed as a bar tender and waitress at the Uhrichsville Eagles.

She was a wonderful artist who enjoyed drawing freehand and taking photographs. Deka also enjoyed crafting and loved cooking and baking. Most of all she cherished her grandchildren,

In addition to her father she is survived by her children, Seth (Ashley) Gibson, of Uhrichsville and Chelsea Gibson of West Lafayette, her grandchildren, Jasmin, Chase, Kaeden and Kenna, her boyfriend, Randy Harmon of Dundee and her siblings, Donald and his companion, Teresa, Dawna and Derrick.

In addition to her mother, Deka was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bert Wood and Luanne Rogers and William and Marie Sullivan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. In keeping with Deka’s wishes, cremation will follow the visitation and inurnment will take place in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville at a later date.

Contributions to assist Deka’s family may be delivered to the Uhrichsville Eagles.
