Debra Kay Hutson, 49, of New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was at home surrounded by the people she loved. Born March 22, 1971 in Dover, she was the daughter of Jacquelin (Warfield) Mathews and the late Michael Mathews.
Anyone who knew Debbie knew that she loved children, and worked in childcare for most of her life. She was a natural with kids, and always enjoyed spending time with her great niece and nephews. Family was more important than anything to her. Her favorite hobby was reading, and she would always go to the library to find new books. She loved camping with her family and sitting by the fire at night. She was a lover of music, and would often listen to records on her record player at home. She was a huge fan of baseball, whether it be the Indians professional games or watching her son play on the field. She was his #1 fan. She was the most loving and wonderful mother her children could have ever asked for. Above all, she loved Jesus wholeheartedly and was proud of her faith. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in New Philadelphia.
On August 5, 1995, Debbie married the love of her life, Michael Hutson. She always expressed how grateful she was for all of his love and support during her battle with cancer, often calling him her “rock”. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Michelle Hutson, Michael Hutson, Lindy (Edward) Lippencott, and Callie (Josh) Newman; her mother Jacquelin; her sisters Jessica (Don) Miller and Rebecca (Troy) Pallotto; her grandchildren Riley, Decklan, Calan, Alaina, Zackery, Liam, Austin and Colton; her nephews Kurtis, Tony (Ally), Rex (Tammy), Nick (Amber), and Andrew; her nieces Missy (Dom), Amanda (Derek), and Natalie (Tyler); her mother-in-law Joan; her sister-in-laws Terri, Cheri, and Lisa; her brother-in-laws Mark, Eric, and Pat; her great nephews Wyatt, Logan, Jayce, and Jesse; and her great niece Sydney. She was greeted into heaven with arms wide open by her father, Mike, and her father-in-law, Bill.
