David Michael "Zack" Welsh

David Michael Welsh, best known to his friends and family as Zack, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in his residence.  

Born in Twin City Hospital at Dennison on April 17, 1959, Zack was a son of the late Harry and Barbara Hare Welsh. 

He was a 1977 graduate of the former Jewett-Scio High School and a 1981 graduate of THE Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Agriculture. 

Following his graduation from college, Zack began working for the family business, H&B Equipment until 1993. He later became a delivery driver for Pizza Hut at New Philadelphia for more than a decade. Recently, Zack was a volunteer for the ACE Clubhouse at New Philadelphia.  

He has been an active member of the Revive Church at New Philadelphia for many years and in his free-time, Zack enjoyed reading and studying devotional books. 

He is survived by a sister, Deb (Keith) Zimmerman of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Ryan and Andrew Zimmerman, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. 

A private graveside service will be held in the Ridgeview Cemetery at Jewett. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory is handling cremation care.
