David W. Lindsay, 70, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his residence at Hanover Healthcare Center in Massillon.
A son of the late Eugene E. and Mavis (Harmon) Lindsay, David was born January 25, 1951 at Dover, Ohio.
David graduated from Claymont High School in 1969. He then served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War until 1972. He later graduated from Cooper School of Art at Cleveland and attended Kent State University.
He had a passion for art and especially enjoyed painting and sketching.
He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Spears of New Philadelphia and Randy (Nan) Lindsay of Uhrichsville; a sister-in-law, Joyce Lindsay of New Philadelphia; a special niece, Sarah (Philip) Burkholder of New Philadelphia; a nephew, Robert Lindsay of New Philadelphia; an aunt, Betty Harmon of New Philadelphia and an uncle, Ron (Joyce) Harmon of LaGrange, Ohio.
David was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eugene R. Lindsay and a niece, Jennifer Mann.
Private family services will be held and interment will take place in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David’s memory to Hanover Healthcare Center Activity Department, 435 Avis Avenue NW, Massillon, OH 44646.
