David Ryan Collins II, four month old son of Angel Marie Urban Collins and David Ryan Collins, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly in his home early Friday morning. Born on Christmas Eve 2003, David was the pride and joy of his parents, as well as his maternal grandparents; Peggy Brown Urban and Bill Urban of New Philadelphia, and his paternal grandparents Star Collins Istenes and Bob Istenes also of New Philadelphia. He’ll be sadly missed by his extended family; great-grandparents William (Patricia) Collins of Hinckley, Oh; Robert Istenes of Bolivar, great-great grandmother Catherine Shoupp of Dennison; aunts Theresa (Banjo) Proof of Uhrichsville, Brittany Istenes, Kristen (Max) Penrod and Lindsay Bloodworth all of New Philadelphia; great-aunt Lorraine Hill of New Philadelphia, and great-great aunt Marie Florcosky of Parma Heights; great-uncles Billy J. Collins and Terry H. Collins, both of Cleveland, cousins Joey, Kendrick and Trey Proof; second cousins once removed, William P. Collins Shawn M. Collins and James D. Collins, all of Hinckley, O. The family was looking forward to this November, when another cousin and playmate would be born to aunt and uncle Kristen and Max Penrod. Numerous great aunts and uncles and cousins also survive. Baby David was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents William and Betty Urban, Edward and Olive Mae Brown; a paternal great-grandmother Marcella Istenes, and maternal great-great grandparents Willie and Mary Collins, and Pete and Mary Mohnickey. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 PM in the Chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home of New Philadelphia with Pastor Chris Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Ragersville cemetery. Following the committal service at the cemetery, Members of the Dover Baptist Temple will host a meal in their fellowship hall at 2896 State Route 800 in Dover. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
