David Matthew Watson

David Matthew Watson, 30, of Dennison, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a brief illness.A son of Donald L. Watson and the late Connie Jane (Rehard) Watson, David was born February 16, 1976 in Union Hospital at Dover, Ohio.He was a 1994 graduate of Claymont High School. He then received an associate’s degree upon graduating from Stark Technical College at Canton. David was formerly employed as an electrical laboratory technician at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company at Akron.David was a member of the United Methodist Church who enjoyed many different activities. During the summer months, he thoroughly enjoyed playing golf. When the golfing season ended for the winter, he would then put his clubs away and spend his time bowling with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie and riding all terrain vehicles. David enjoyed the camaraderie he shared with his friends but most of all, he cherished his family who will miss him dearly.He is survived by his father Don and step-mother, Jean Watson of Dennison, one brother, Tim (Natalie) Watson of Bolivar; one step-sister, Karen (Robert) Wilson of New Philadelphia and four nephews, Caleb and Aaron Watson and Raleigh and Walker Wilson.David was preceded in death by his mother, Connie along with his grandparents.Family and friends may call in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating David’s life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Robert James officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville.Memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622 and/or to a charity of one’s choice.
