Darren S. McPherson, 39, of Big Fork, MT, died there Monday evening, March 24, 2003, as a result of a car accident. Darren had been living there working in the construction trade with his brother, Doug, as a metal stud and dry wall hanger. Darren was born in Chittenango, NY on February 7, 1964 to Stone Creek natives, Eugene W. McPherson and Juanita Sue Ridenour. Along with his family, Darren lived all over the world, including Japan, West Germany, Guam, California and Arizona. When not working he enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson. Darren is survived by wife, Monica D. Johnson-McPherson and his 13-year old son, Ehren S. McPherson of Corning, CA; father, Eugene and his wife Martyne Hanni McPherson of Bakersville, OH; mother, Juanita Sue McPherson of Avondale, AZ; brothers, Galen (Donna) McPherson of Kansas City, MO; Douglas McPherson of Big Fork, MT; Mark (Debbie Kaye) McPherson of Apache Junction, AZ and Mikel McPherson of Henderson, NV; sisters, Debra McCormac of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Jeri Lynn Carpenter of Henderson, NV and Melissa Jolly of Apache Junction, AZ. A brother, Joel Rae McPherson, paternal grandparents, Harry and Ethel Rowe McPherson and maternal grandparents, Ralph and Evelyn Kughler Ridenour, preceded him in death. Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2003 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. The funeral will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Immediately after the chapel service a reception will be given in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home. Following cremation, Darren’s remains will be buried with those of his infant brother, Joel Rae, at Stone Creek Cemetery on Sunday, March 30, 2003.
