Darlene Baumer

Darlene G. Baumer, age 85, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024 in the care of Aultman Compassionate Care at Canton, Ohio.

Born on August 15, 1939 in Dover, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lucille (Minor) Beatty. After graduation from New Philadelphia High School in 1957, she worked as a salesperson in retail for many years.

On December 24, 1958, she married John Albert Baumer. Together they enjoyed 59 years of marriage before his passing in December of 2018.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Jim) Brinks, Don (Tracy) Baumer, and Janet (Darren Hills) Mason; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Robert, and Jack Beatty.

In keeping with Darlene’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. A private family graveside will take place at a later date.
