Daniel “Dan” K. Gray, 52, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Aultman Hospital following a two year illness.Dan was born July 10, 1952 in Dover, O. to the late John M. and Eva Rose Bell Gray and was a 1970 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.He was employed by Miller Studio at New Philadelphia, for 33 years.Dan attended Broadway United Methodist Church, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed NASCAR racing, but by far his family was what was most important to him.He is survived by his loving wife, Deena K. McClure Gray whom he married May 18, 1985; sons, J. Andrew Gray and his wife Trisha, of North Canton, O., and Daniel K. Gray and his wife Shannon, of Dover; sisters, Barbara Gray and Julie Rentsch both of New Philadelphia; brothers, Gary and wife Sharon of Massillon, O., John and wife Mary of Papua New Guinea, and David and wife Sharon of Congress, AZ.; grandchildren, Brady Patterson and Alexander and Nicklas Gray, and many nieces and nephews.Dan was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, January 7, 2005 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Funeral Services celebrating Dan’s life will be held Saturday, January 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. William A. Sowers and Dan’s brother Pastor David Gray officiating. Following burial in New Philadelphia, a reception will be held at the Geib Family Center.
