Daniel Francis Fladung, age 65, of Canton, died peacefully, Monday, November 2, 2020, while under the care of Crossroads Hospice in Sunnyslope Care Center at Bowerston, Ohio.
Born in New York on March 15, 1955, Dan was a son of the late Harold and Betty Craney Fladung.
He was a graduate of Lehman High School at Canton and worked for many years as a custodian at St. Michael’s Church and Walsh University.
Dan was a naturally talented musician who easily learned to play just about any instrument. He was eccentric in his quest for life and continually explored various religions and cultures. He deeply immersed himself in the Native American Culture and spent many years giving presentations on the topic.
He is survived by his children, Danielle (Brandon) Dalpiaz, Daniel Fladung, and Joshua Fladung; his step-children, Jason Lisk and Jodi (Tony) Gillono; his grandchildren, Kimber and Mila Dalpaiz, Jalyn and Janelle Lisk, and Melina Cavella, and his sister, Margaret (Greg) Peters.
In keeping with Dan’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care will be conducted through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. at New Philadelphia.
