Dale Milburn

Dale Milburn, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Aultman Hospital at Canton, following a brief illness.

A son of the late Homer and Emma (Kollar) Milburn, Dale was born September 9, 1940 at Newport, Ohio.

Dale enjoyed playing golf and horse shoes, as well as hunting and going to garage sales and flea markets. He was also very meticulous about his lawn. His biggest joy in life was his family; he was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Beal) Milburn, whom he married on November 25, 1959; three children, Todd (Kristin) Milburn, Tami Rook, and Tara (Stephen) Layton; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Jane Shocksnider.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Fred Milburn and a son-in-law, Scott Rook.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Dale’s life will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home’s chapel with Karen’s brother, Wendell Beal officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
