Dale L. Testerman

Dale L. Testerman, 71, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 12, 2005.A son of the late Jarvis Testerman and the late Mary (Blevins) Claxon, Dale was born July 14, 1934 in Konnarock, Virgina.Dale, who attended Galax Public Schools in Virginia, moved to Akron in 1950 where he resided for nearly 30 years. During this time, he was an avid dune buggy builder, camper, hunter, fisherman and guitar player.After 40 years of service, Dale retired in 1992 from Goodyear Aerospace’s Aircraft Braking Systems as a Rigger. Anticipating retirement, he moved to New Philadelphia where he had the opportunity and time to become an excellent cook.Dale leaves behind his current wife of 13 years, Marian (Measelle) Testerman; two sons, Michael Testerman and Steven (Dana) Testerman; one daughter, Suzanne Testerman; his ex-wife and friend, Pat Wein; stepchildren, Jennie (James) Breznak, Sherrie (Marty) Garner, David (Stephanie) Van Horn and Marcia Van Horn; grandchildren, Dale M. (Laura) Testerman, Michael (Janet) Wagner, Jessica (Jess) Clouser, Joel (Allyson) Wagner, Jason Corbin, Jimmy Breznak, Jocelyn Cassavaugh, Jerrod Testerman, Alex Breznak, Katie Breznak and Joshua Van Horn; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.In keeping with Dale’s wishes, there will be no public services and cremation will take place at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and sign the online guest registry by visiting the funeral home website.Memorial contributions may be made in Dale’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O.
