Dale Kurtz

Dale Kurtz, 72, of New Philadelphia, died suddenly February 14, 2007, at his residence.A son of the late Harry and Bertha Kurtz, Dale was born on January 23, 1935, in Dover, Ohio. In 1953, Dale graduated from Dover High School. Dale worked as a boiler maker at the Dover Tank and Plate Company in Dover, Ohio, for 35 years. He was an Army Veteran and was actively involved in the Army Navy Club of Dover, V.F.W. of New Philadelphia, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and Amvets.In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Kurtz, James Kurtz, Robert Kurtz, William Kurtz; sister, Jean Dessecker.He is survived by his son, Bill (Mary) Kurtz of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Aaron Kurtz of Miamisburg, Ohio, Amanda Kurtz of New Philadelphia; brother, Howard (Helen) Kurtz of Adamsville, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call on Sunday, February 18, 2007, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.The Rev. Jim Borton will lead the Kurtz funeral service Monday morning, February 19, 2007, at 11:00 a.m in the Linn-Hert Geib Chapel at New Philadelphia. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.Following the committal a reception will be given for family and friends in the Geib Family Center adjacent to the funeral home.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
