Cora E. Buss

Cora E. Buss, 91, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Uhrichsville, died peacefully Wednesday evening, September 11, 2002, in Morning View Care Center. Born September 20, 1910, she was a daughter of the late James and Annabelle Marshall Ramage. She grew up in Uhrichsville and graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1929. On November 4, 1936, Cora married Harley W. Buss, who preceded her in death on November 19, 1991. Cora spent most of her life as a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, including a special niece and nephew. She was a former member of the 11 Street Church of God in Uhrichsville. Survivors include two daughters; Donna (Sonny) Kinsey, Elizabeth “Tizzy” (Ola) Parsons, a son; Frank (Patricia) Buss all of New Philadelphia, special neice; Annabelle (Bill) Moser of Bainbridge Island, WA, special nephew, James (Betty) McGarry of Ormond Beach, FL, four grandchildren; Frank Buss II, Jeff Kinsey, Todd Kinsey, & Maj. Mark Kinsey, twelve great-grandchildren; J.R., Rachel, Jessica, Anthony, Michael, Laura, Keith, Jasmine, Shay, Emma, Abigail, Paul, one sister; Elizabeth Smart of Dover. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters; Patricia Walker and Pamela Whitman, three sisters; Margaret, Bessie, Agnes and one brother; Frank.Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia with Rev. Larry Hostetler of the Christian Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery; Uhrichsville O. Friends may call at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Friday (today) from 5 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
