Connie Lou Ford Reichman, 71, of Gnadenhutten, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 in Aultman Hospital at Canton surrounded by her family.A daughter of the late Edward “Ted” and Alta (Gribble) Ford, Connie was born September 19, 1938 at Midvale, Ohio.She graduated from Midvale High School in 1956 and was employed for many years as a custodian for the Indian Valley School District. She was also a member of the Midvale United Methodist Church.Connie enjoyed gambling, or what she referred to as “fishing”, and traveling to the beach, especially Myrtle Beach when vacationing with her family. Most of all, she cherished her grandchildren and always looked forward to their sporting events.She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Reichman whom she married on May 11, 1963; a daughter, Leslie (Kenneth) Rowland of New Philadelphia; three sons, Dale (Joleen) Reichman and Kenny (Daphne) Reichman both of Gnadenhutten and Tim (Michelle) Reichman of Dennison; 10 grandchildren, Lacy, Clay, Kendra, Allie, Brittany, Kasey, Shania and Brooke Reichman and Matthew and Eric Rowland; a step granddaughter, Jenna Walton; two step great grandchildren, Brennan and Carson Walton; two sisters, Sally (David) McMath of Uhrichsville and Joyce Stonecipher of Tuscarawas; three sisters-in-law, Betty Ford of Artesia, New Mexico, Margaret Ford of Cambridge and Edith Ford of Massillon and numerous nieces and nephews.Connie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Carrie I. Reichman; a sister, Janet Ford and six brothers, Adrian, Mike, Kenny, Gene, Jack and Kay Ford.The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Connie’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010 in the funeral home with Rev. Larry Malterer officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery at Tuscarawas.
