Connie LaFountaine

Connie LaFountaine, of Leesville Lake, died Monday morning, January 12, 2004, at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was 65.Born in New Philadelphia on March 22, l938, Connie was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Hattie M. Schwartz Cronebaugh. She was a l956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and attended Ohio State University.Connie enjoyed boating, fishing, playing with her dogs, and attending her grandson’s sporting events. She was also an active member of the Tuscarawas Valley Duplicate Bridge Club. Before retiring, she was secretary for and an officer of Dimension Distributing, Inc., a wholesale toy corporation operated by her husband, Jack, who survives. Connie and Jack would have celebrated 46 years of marriage on March 23 of this year.In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kelly Watson, of New Philadelphia; a son, Jack, of North Carolina; and two grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Watson, of New Philadelphia.She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant daughter, Marci.Friends may call on the family at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, January 13, from 5 Â? 8 pm. The Rev. Dr. Steve Bailey will officiate at private family graveside services at Evergreen Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
