Clyde Roy McNutt

Clyde Roy McNutt, 75, of Dover, formerly of New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 13, 2008 from the Schoenbrunn Health Care Center at New Philadelphia.A life resident of the area, Clyde was the son of the late Roy and Sylvia Martin McNutt and was born in Dover Township, Tuscarawas County on April 12, 1933.He was retired from Iron Workers Local 550 at Canton, where he was a member. Clyde was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, training dogs, making his own fishing lures, and trap shooting. He also won many awards for his bow and arrow marksmanship.He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Morris McNutt, whom he married October 4, 1951; sons, Terry (Sue) McNutt, of Medina, James McNutt, of Somerset, Oh., John (Marcia) McNutt, of Uhrichsville; sisters, Myrtle (Gene) Brown, of New Philadelphia and Ada (Ivan) Beitzel, of Zoarville; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alyssa Joy McNutt Peterman; a great grandson, Jacob McNutt and brothers, Roy Jr. and Robert McNutt.Visitation will be held Monday, June 16, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
