Clifford Z Dollar

Clifford Z. Dollar, age 65, of New Philadelphia, passed away in Union Hospital at Dover Thursday, August 11, 2011.Born in Wadsworth, he was the son of the late Harry Patrick and Dollie May (Ball) Dollar. After completing his formal education at Cloverleaf High School, he joined the professional workforce as a cable tool driller and service rig operator at a variety of companies including King Drilling, D.A. Waldron, Levengood Well Service, Lomak Petroleum, Ray Beck, Belden & Blake, and his own company C & J Well Service. Cliff was a member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association in addition to the Church of Jesus Christ, Dover Restoration Branch. Cliff was an avid fisherman and a world-class instigator with a soft heart.On August 28, 1980, Cliff married his late wife, Judith A. (Henderson) Dollar, who preceded him in passing on March 28, 2009. He is survived by his children; Denise (husband Gary) Dawkins of Seville, OH, Patrick Dollar of Chippewa Lake, OH, and Lisa (husband Michael) Maletz of West Salem, OH, his sister; Dollie (James) Winkler of Creston, OH, his grandchildren; Brent, Jesse, Brad, Danielle, and Kayla; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, and his special friend; Sue McNutt.In addition to his parents and wife, Cliff was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katlyn Maletz.Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Monday, August 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel lead by Elder Bruce Levengood.Burial will immediately follow the service in Fairview Cemetery at Jewett. Friends are invited to the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home in New Philadelphia, where a meal provided by his church family will be served following the committal service.
