Clifford Eugene Daniels, 60, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Union Hospital in Dover following a courageous battle with cancer.Born March 24, 1942, in Lawrence Township, Ohio, he was a son of the late Raymond Luther and Ruth Rosebelle Stocker Daniels. He was a veteran, having served 4 years with the U. S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. William R. Rush stationed in Florida. Cliff retired from Central States Can Company in Massillon where he worked as a set-up man and a trainer. He also worked at Fairfield Brick near Zoarville, Ohio and loved to fix and rebuild lawnmowers. He was a member of First Church of God in New Philadelphia. Cliff also was a talented hunter, fisherman, gunman and a very loving grandfather, father and husband. Cliff recently celebrated 40 years of marriage with his wife, Trudy Ann Kutcher, whom he wed on March 10, 1962. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric E. Daniels of Uhrichsville; two daughters, Trina A. (Jeffrey) Wycoff of New Philadelphia and Delena K. (Tim) Chaney of Coolridge, Arizona; grandchildren, Deric Eugene and Jason Michael Daniels who reside with their grandparents in New Philadelphia, Trinette Cercone of New Philadelphia, Danyelle Chaney of Arizona, Jacquelyne “Jac” Wycoff of New Philadelphia and Amber Daniels of New Philadelphia; an uncle, Allen (Josephine) Stocker of Canton; brothers, Raymond Luther (Patricia) Daniels of Dover, James Daniels of New Cumberland and Garry (Ginger) Daniels of New Philadelphia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his favorite dog, Snoopy.In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Daniels, a sister-in-law, Cora Daniels and many aunts and uncles.Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2002, at 10:00 AM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia with Reverends Matt Ro+e, Norman Nelson and Glen Shedlock officiating. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover where military graveside services will be conducted. A reception will follow the committal at the First Church of God in New Philadelphia. Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2002, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia.
