Claudia Carol McConnell

Claudia Carol McConnell, 48, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Thomas and Thelma Coler Thompson, Jr. Claudia was born at Akron.Claudia was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed many activities, including, writing poetry, bass fishing, motorcross racing, planting and caring for flowers and plants and most of all raising her boys.She will be greatly missed by her husband, Michael T. McConnell; whom she married December 13, 1997; her sons, Roger L. Bloom, Jr. and his fiancé, Whitney, of Akron and Richard L. Bloom, of Uniontown; brothers and sisters, Gary (Bonnie) Lattimer, of Franklin, TN, Ann (Don) Boggs, of Uniontown, Linda (John) Holmes, of Massillon, Dave (Sally) Thompson, of Kenmore, James (Denise) Thompson, of Carrollton and Robert (Robin) Thompson, of Sherrodsville as well as numerous nieces and nephewsHer parents preceded her in death.Visitation will be held (today) Friday, July 27, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where a candlelighting ceremony will take place at 8 pm. A memorial reception will follow in the Geib Family Center adjacent to the funeral home. Memorial contributions in honor of Claudia may be made to the American Heart Association
