Clarence K. Fiddler, 81, of New Philadelphia and formerly of Florida, passed away early Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 following a brief illness.
Born in Mineral City on April 2, 1931, Clarence graduated from high school and served his country in the United States Marines. He later joined the working force at The Timken Co. and in Florida at Piper Aircraft.
Once Clarence returned to Ohio, he attended the First Assembly of God. He was also a member of the Mineral City American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Sylvia; his step-daughters, Beverly J. Ferris of New Philadelphia and Marie Mulloch of Florida; his brother, Emmerson Fiddler of Florida; his niece, Sandra (Michael) Laign of Canton; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Clarence’s life will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Sunday, August 19 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in German Cemetery.
