Clara S. Endres

Clara Sophia Endres, 92, of New Dawn Health Care Center, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully early Friday morning.Born January 26, 1911 in Dover, she was the only daughter of the late John Rothacher and Ellen Miller Rothacher. She attended school in Dover Township in a one-room schoolhouse.Clara was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed sewing and cooking. She carefully planned birthday parties for her family, friends, and neighbors, by baking and decorating cutout cakes for their special day. She leaves behind a daughter, Joanne (Edward) Murray of North Canton, a son, Harold Endres, of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Faith Murray of Canal Fulton, Nadine (Bret) Thompson of Canton, and Shawn Murray of Navarre Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Jeremy Thompson. In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond C. Endres, and a brother, Harold Rothacher, precede her in death. Friends may call Monday May 5, 2003 from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. Prayers will begin at 12:40 in the funeral home before processing to Sacred Heart Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM Monday. Following burial in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia, family and friends are invited to gather for a meal the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the Funeral Home.
