Clara M. Lang

Clara M. Lang, 89, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.A daughter of the late Charles and Claudia (Veit) Leach, Clara was born June 7, 1919 at Carroll County, Ohio.Clara was employed by A & P and as a telephone operator at Belmont Enameling before retiring from General Electric on January 1, 1980.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia since 1947. Clara enjoyed gardening and cooking.She is survived by her children, Clara M. Gorby of Dover, Patricia A. Smith of Cadiz, Albert G. (Carole) Lang of Madison, Alabama and Susan A. (William) Seese of Strasburg; eight grandchildren, John A. (Nancy) Menapace, Ricky Menapace, Randy Menapace, William J. Menapace, Brenda Menapace, Toni Y. King, William D. (Tippra) Seese and Dr. Sally (David) Dabney; 11 great grandchildren and a dear friend, Lois Tecco of New Philadelphia..Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Lang, who passed away on July 4, 2004; four brothers and two sisters.Family and friends may call on Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Clara’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
