Clara Louise Frampton, age 85 of Dover and formerly of Streetsboro went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following an apparent heart attack.
Born at Homer City, Pennsylvania, on December 26, 1929, Clara was a daughter of James Reid and Ruth Greene Reid Quick.
Clara was a graduate of Homer City High School and on July 10, 1949, married her high school sweetheart, Charles Frampton. Clara and Charles raised their family in Streetsboro and were actively involved with the Northfield Baptist Church and later were instrumental in starting Faith Baptist Church at Streetsboro, where they were life members. Following their retirement, the couple relocated to Dover and for the past six years their faith has been nurtured at the Dover Bible Church.
Professionally, Clara worked for a number of years as a cashier at Kroger in Solon, later moved to a clerk’s position at Dye Supply in Macedonia, and ultimately retired from Deluxe Check Printing Company in Streetsboro.
In her free time, Clara enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family, spending time chatting with friends, playing board games, fishing with her husband, bowling, working jigsaw puzzles, reading books, especially her Bible, doing needlepoint crafts and quilting. She was also known to be an excellent cook and for the past number of years was recognized for her soup recipes at the Annual Northstar Soup Swap.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 66 years, their sons, Pastor David (Sharon) Frampton of Newton Square, Pennsylvania and Mark (Kathy) Frampton of Hiram, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kyle (Sarah) Frampton, Trevor (companion, Bess) Frampton and Janelle (Matt) Olson all of Pennsylvania.
Completing the family are two sisters, Ruth Reegor of Pennsylvania, Louella (John) McCracken of Ohio; two brothers, James (Linda) Reid of Florida and Russell (Kathy) Quick of Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law, Janet Reid of Pennsylvania and Florence Reid of Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Garvin and Marcie Palmer; and four brothers, William Reid, John Reid, Kenneth Quick and Charles Quick.
The family will receive guests one hour prior to services on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Luke Holt will lead a service celebrating Clara’s life at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Following the service, a meal and fellowship will be shared in the Social Hall of the Dover Bible Church.
