Cindy Ann Gerber

Cindy Ann Gerber, 67, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover, following a period of declining health.

Born at Dennison, Cindy was the daughter of the late William A. and Shirley J. (Touvel) Gerber and a graduate of the former Indian Hills Christian School at New Philadelphia. Cindy had worked, for many years, as a lab technician for Thomas A. Steele, Dentistry at Dennison. 

A longtime member of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia, Cindy lived her faith daily, exemplifying a spirit of generosity and compassion that would draw people to her. She will be remembered for her bright smile and genuine interest in the lives of others. 

Cindy’s love for her family was unmatched. She cherished every moment spent with them and brought a sense of comfort and joy to those around her. Cindy is survived by her brother, Bryan Gerber of New Philadelphia; two nieces, Shawnda (John) Holland of Uhrichsville and Kayla Beamish of New Philadelphia; a nephew, James Stringer of Kentucky and 12 great nieces and great nephews, Ravynn, Regan, Maya, William, Octavius, Xavier, Emerson, Graysen, Luke, Zayla, Ethan and Liam. 

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by a brother, Scot A. Gerber.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia where a funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM with Pastor Todd Gopp officiating. Burial will follow in Schoenbrunn Meadow Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
