Cilta Clemintine Pede, age 80, of Cleveland, died peacefully in the Western Reserve Health Care Center at Kirtland, Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2008. Born at Roswell November 5, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Nichola and Elizabeth Pallotto Pede. Cilta was reared by her father and step-mother, the late Maria Danese Pede. A graduate of Midvale High School, Cilta attended Cleveland State University, and ultimately graduated from the former Dike University at Cleveland. Cilta served as executive secretary to the president of the Illuminating Company at Cleveland. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Mentor. Survivors include her two sisters, Mary Wintersteller of Rocky River, Ohio, and Vera Schleig, of Canton, Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and step-mother, Cilta was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Pierino and Elmo Pede. Monsignor George J. Schlegel will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call Saturday from noon until 1 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory where prayers will begin at 1:15 before processing to the church for Mass.
