Christopher A. Voll

Christopher A. Voll, 28, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2010 at his home.A son of Jeff Voll and Dawn Thomas, Christopher was born October 21, 1981 at Cleveland, Ohio.Christopher graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 2000. He was a member of the New Philadelphia Quaker Marching Band where he played the trombone.He worked as a painter alongside his father who is the owner and operator of Mastercraft Painting and Decorating. Christopher was baptized and received his first communion at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. He was also an avid collector of knives and comic books. One of his greatest passions was art, whether it was simply doodling on a scratch pad or a complex architectural drawing.Christopher was a loving father and he’ll be remembered most for his kind, warm heart.In addition to his father, Jeff (Linda) Voll of West Farmington, Ohio and his mother, Dawn Thomas of Big Lake, Alaska, Christopher is survived by his wife, Tricia Voll; his son, Christopher A. Voll II both of New Philadelphia and his sisters, Amy Dillon of Lakewood, Ohio, Jillian Voll of West Farmington, Kimberly Dillon of New Philadelphia and Michelle Voll of West Farmington.Completing the family are grandparents, Robert and Martha Dillon of New Philadelphia and many other extended family members.Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Elizabeth Voll and Paul and Jane Thomas.Private family services will be held for Christopher on Thursday and cremation will follow through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting the funeral home website.Contributions may be made to the Christopher Voll II Memorial Fund, c/o Chase Bank, 141 East High Avenue, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
