Christine “Chris” E. Tedrick

Christine “Chris” E. Tedrick, 63, of Dover passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Union Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born in Dover on December 12, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Annabelle M. (Bird) Tedrick.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1968, she was employed at the former Lawrence Market, the former Nichols Store, and then served as a nutritionist at New Dawn Retirement Community for more than 27 years until her retirement.
Chris was a gifted cook and baker, always loving to share her kitchen creations with those around her. She also enjoyed crafts such as making ornaments and doing cross stitch and listening to country music. Traveling was a passion of hers too. A few favorite destinations included Hawaii, Disney World, Maine, and Mackinac Island.
A patron of the arts, Chris enjoyed being entertained at the Performing Arts Center the past few years.
Chris is survived by her sisters, Jeannie Tedrick of Dover and Amy Jarrell of Columbus; her brother, Gary (Marla Burgess) Tedrick of New Philadelphia; her lifelong family friend, Candy Beaber of Ragersville; her brother-in-law, Pat Jarrell of Canton; her nieces, Jennifer (Craig) White and Torri Terick; and her three nephews, Evan White, Nicholas Moore, and Zach Tedrick; and her two nieces, Maddie White and Alexis Tedrick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two nephews, Todd and Zack Tedrick.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
