Christine Lynn Bridgeman, 68, of New Philadelphia and formerly of Uhrichsville, died peacefully early, Friday, March 29, 2024, surrounded by her family, following a battle with cancer.
Born in Dennison on June 8, 1955, Christine was a daughter of the late Harold L. Boyles and Patricia J. Morrison Boyles-Bolden.
She attended Claymont High School and furthered her education at Buckeye Career Center. For many years, Christine worked at the former Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center at Uhrichsville as an STNA and for Ember Home Health Care where she served as an LPN.
Christine was a compassionate soul who enjoyed caring for others above herself. She loved any activity that involved her family, that included events such as fishing, camping at Twin Hills, playing cards, or cooking meals. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing games on her tablet and watching true crime shows and horror movies.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bridgeman, Sr., whom she married on September 4, 1976; their children, Richard (fiancée, Melissa Carroll) Bridgeman, Jr. of Uhrichsville and July Bridgeman of Chesapeake, Virginia; her grandchildren, Richard Bridgeman, III, Jaelee (Sam) DeBellis, and Christa-Rose Bridgeman; a great-grandson, Luca DeBellis; two sisters, Kathleen Smith of Uhrichsville and Linda (Randy) Tyler of Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother and father, Christine was preceded in death by her K-9 companion, Reggie.
In keeping with Christine’s wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation care is being arranged through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
