Christina Lieser

Christina Lieser, age 56, of Bolivar, died unexpectedly early Friday, December 13, 2013 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

Born at Barberton, Ohio on August 6, 1957, Christina was a daughter of the late Wandamea (Boston) Wolford.

She attended school at Claymont and for the past several years has been employed by Hennis Care Center at Bolivar where she earned her STNA certificate. Prior to joining the staff at Hennis, Christina worked as a waitress at the Amish Door at Wilmot and also enjoyed floral design having worked at the former Endres Floral Company and Buehler’s Flower Shop. It was while working with flowers; she found a niche for decorating, having taken the time to decorate many of the rooms her own home in like colors and ensuring her house was properly adorned inside and out with seasonal and holiday ornaments. She kept up with her decorating and floral design work by helping friends with flower arrangements for special occasions and holidays as well as assisting other staff members at Hennis decorate the building for the holidays.

Christina’s faith was nurtured by her attendance at New Pointe Church. She enjoyed hosting her family during holiday events and never passed up an opportunity to spend time with any of them. While raising her children, she attended nearly every school activity and sporting event in which they were involved. As her children began to have families of their own she became very involved in the lives of her grandchildren, often ensuring they were well taken care of.

For the past 38 years, Christina has shared her life with her beloved husband, Dwight. The couple married on November 22, 1975; together they shared in the joy of raising their three children, watching movies together, eating out, and enjoying each other’s company as they worked outside around the house and relaxing out of doors when the work was done.

In addition to her husband, Christina will be deeply missed by her three children, Mike Lieser, Craig (Heidi) Lieser all of Bolivar, and Mindi Baum of Canton South; a brother, Roger (Cathie) Wolford of Florida and eight grandchildren, Ethan, Teyah, Michael, Trista, Tyus, Teagann, Jordyn and Pacey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet guests on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A celebration of Christina’s life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Dover Funeral Center with Pastor Dwight Mason officiating.

Immediately following the service, all are invited to join the family for a meal and fellowship in the ROC 10911 Ohio 212, Bolivar, OH 44612.
