Chris E. Huddleston, age 44, of Uhrichsville, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010.Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 11, 1966, he is the only child of Ruben Bill and Brenda Kay (Shackelford) Huddleston.After graduating from Claymont High School in 1985, began working as a Kiln Fireman. He spent the last 18 years as an employee of Semco Ceramics, Inc. in Uhrichsville.Chris’ hobbies included working on old cars, riding motorcycles, and enjoying nature. He will long be remembered as an honest person and one who deeply loved animals, especially his cat Harley.In addition to his parents, Bill and Brenda, his is survived by his girlfriend, Michele Rowland; his uncles and aunts, Gary Shackelford, Larry (Margaret) Huddleston, Nancy (Frank() Mills, Charles (Faye) Fuston, Ted Huddleston, Marilyn (Steve) Draper, Rick (Sue) Huddleston, and Earl (Brenda) Huddleston; and two special cousins, Kelly and Becky.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cora Lee and William Christopher Huddleston and Charlotte and Harley Shackelford; his uncle, James Huddleston; and aunt-in-law, Connie Shackelford.Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Monday, September 6, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Chris’ life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the service in Roxford Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home in New Philadelphia, following the committal service where a dinner and time for fellowship will be held.Memorial contributions in memory of Chris may be directed to the Roxford Family Center Building Fund, 771 Roxford Church Rd., Dennison, O. 44621.
