Cheryl Dotts

Cheryl A. Dotts, 74, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, October 15, 2018 in Union Hospital at Dover following a four-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

A daughter of the late Nicholas and Katheryn (Caldwell) Cua, Cheryl was born August 25, 1944 at Dover, Ohio.

Cheryl was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and later attended the School of Cosmetology at Columbus.

She was a proud employee of the Chatterbox during her younger years. Cheryl also worked as a Driver Examiner for the Ohio State Highway Patrol and a waitress at Bentley’s.

Cheryl enjoyed fast cars, animals and listening to Toby Keith. Most of all, she loved shopping for her grandchildren and making sure they never went without.

She is survived by her sons, Burton (Terri) Dotts and Michael (Amy) Dotts both of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Althea Isabella, Burton Nicholas, Naomi Lynne, Michelle Nichole and Laura Ann Dotts; and her siblings, Carolyn (Bob) Vaughn of New Philadelphia, and John “Butch” (Colleen “Corky”) Cua and Mike (Gloria) Cua both of North Carolina.

In keeping with Cheryl’s wishes, private family services will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
