Charlotte M Hollingsworth

Charlotte M. Hollingsworth, age 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, January 18, 2011 in Park Village Assisted Living at Dover following a period of declining health.Born in Harrison County on January 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Eckhardt. After graduating, Charlotte married her late husband, Earl Otto Hollingsworth on September 22, 1953. Charlotte’s lifetime was spent caring for, supporting, and loving both her children and her grandchildren. She leaves behind her son, Steven (Brenda) Hollingsworth of Sugarcreek and her daughter, Heather (Terry) McFeeders of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Lance) Williams of Harrisburg, PA, Ashlie (Nick) Hershberger of Sugarcreek, Steven (Kirsten) Hollingsworth of Winston-Salem, NC, Kristina Hollingsworth of Sugarcreek, and Krista and Megan McFeeders both of New Philadelphia; her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Gabe Hershberger and Sera and Bella Williams; and her grandpuppy, Jasmine. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her fifth grandchild due within the week.In addition to her parents and husband, Earl, who died September 8, 1977, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, James and Leo Eckhardt; and her two sisters, Phyllis Wilson and Wilma Everett.A service celebrating Charlotte’s life will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Monday, January 23, 2012 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
