Charles Howard Anthony, 75, of Wooster and formerly of Zoarville, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Wooster Hospital following a period of declining health.
A son of the late Charles Wesley and Ella Mae (Frey) Anthony, Charles was born September 7, 1941 at Zoarville, Ohio.
Charles graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 1961 and was a devout Christian. He enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (McFeaters) Anthony whom he married on July 3, 1965; two daughters, Melodie (Roger) Stroud of Wooster and Cheryl (Ruben) Pagan of Cleveland; a nephew whom he raised as his own child, John (Christie) Peoples of New Cumberland; his grandchildren, Nichole Luzier, Angelica and Adrianna Stroud, Julie Badgett, Jonathan and Joshua Stroud, Alyssia and Ruben Jr. and Pedro Pagan, and Anthony and Brandi Peoples; nine great grandchildren and a sister, Reatha Visnick of Louisville.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and six sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Charles’ life will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Rob Maskowitz and Pastor Brian Rossow officiating. Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery. Following the committal service a luncheon will be held in the Hospitality Room in the Geib Funeral Center.
