Charles “Charlie” Edwin Clendenin, Sr., age 61, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 in Amberwood Manor of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
He was born on July 9, 1953 in Canton, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Ruby (Lockard) Clendenin. Charlie spent most of his life in Canton, Ohio. He attended Canton South High School and served as a United States Marine. He worked at the Timken Company in Canton for 11 years.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph “Pete,” William “Chub,” Greg, and Noah Clendenin; and sisters, Alice Adorsio and Judy Smith.
He is survived by brothers, Brad (Terri) Clendenin of Canton and Jeff (Peggy) Clendenin of Tennessee; sisters, Sally (John) Draime and Bonnie (Chris) Nevel both of Canton; sons, Charles “Gunk” (Natalie) Clendenin, Jr. of Canton, William “Billy” Clendenin; daughter, Angela “Porkchop” (Jeff) Contini of New Philadelphia (with Marina Gilba); and stepsons William and Neil Smith and stepdaughters Carla and Tina Lawson (with Sandy Clendenin). Completing the family are grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Coral, Jordan, Jada, Sierra, Alex, Ella, Jessie, Avery, Brock, Jake, Kamden, & Kaice, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charlie enjoyed hunting with his son, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching “Duck Dynasty.”
At Charlie’s request, there will be no services held. He will be greatly loved and missed forever.
