Charles C. Mutti, 91, of Dover and formerly of Stone Creek, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover.A son of the late Samuel E. and Alice (Buehler), Charles was born December 18, 1913 in Stone Creek, Ohio.He was a member of the Jerusalem Church where he served as a past Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Charles was self employed Dairy Farmer. He was a Director of the Tuscarawas Valley Milk Co-Op as well as a past Director of the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau.He is survived by his wife, Laverna “Verna” M. (Mizer) Mutti, whom he married on December 25, 1940; three daughters, Faye (Kent) Huprich of Sugarcreek, Janet (Jerry) Horn of New Philadelphia and Martha (Randall) States of Edgewood, Washington; one son, Glenn (Carol) Mutti of Stone Creek; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Melva (Kenneth) Zimmerman of Sugarcreek and Alma Miller of Brewster.Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2005 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Terry Downin on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 1:00p.m. at the Jerusalem Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park.Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter Mutti, one sister, Inez Ripley; and one great-grandson, Bryce Horn.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jerusalem Church, 1417 Stonecreek Road SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663
