Mary Catherine “Cathy” Schwarm, 69, of Dover, was called home to be with her Lord on October 4, 2019 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a short battle with cancer.
Born in Canton on December 31, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary J. (Crawshaw) Ferren and her step-mother, Gladys Ferren.

Cathy met her husband of nearly 50 years, David A. Schwarm, Sr., at the North Industry Christian Church and after five months of dating, were married on October 25, 1969.
Together, they were longtime members of the North Industry Christian Church before moving to Dover in 1994, where they became active members of Dover First Christian Church. Cathy was passionate about serving the youth of the church, playing the piano, and assisting with any and all special events there.
She was also an avid sports fan, whether it was watching a team on television or in person, coaching her son’s soccer team, or sharpening her statistical knowledge. Cathy was very fond of the Cleveland sports teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Colleting teddy bears and sheet music was a hobby Cathy enjoyed also.
